Alfonso Giaquinto
President & CEO. While studying architecture at Brooklyn Technical, Al worked for his father a union carpenter in Manhattan. After graduating from Baruch with an accounting degree, Al earned his MBA from Xavier University. Founding Plum Builders in 1982, Al opened an office on Main Street in East Hampton. His broad experience in home building, restoration and rebuilding is complemented by his strong financial expertise. Al has acquired a CGR, Certified Graduate Remodeler, CGP, Certified Green Professional, and GMB, Graduate Master Builder professional credentials in addition to his University degrees.

Mary Giaquinto
Chairman, has been with the Plum team since its inception in 1983. In Fall of 2009 Mary completed the required coursework at NYU to receive a Certificate in Construction Project Management. Mary oversees Marketing for Plum Builders which includes advertising, and events. Mary Giaquinto has a BA in English from the University of Cincinnati. She and Al Giaquinto are married for over 40 years and have three grown children.

Sharon Ryan
Controller
, has been a member of the Plum team since 2007. Sharon has been in the building industry for 6 years. Her previous experience includes office management for a large Southampton engineering firm. In the last year Sharon has become a Notary Public and has completed Accounting courses. She continues to attend seminars such as Construction Law and Managing Subcontractors. Sharon has a Masters Degree in Psychology and brings strong organizational skills to the Plum office.

Alexa Bredbury
Design and Production Manager, Her previous experience includes working as a real estate broker as well as a Marketing and Project Manager for a high-powered entertainment company. In the last year, Alexa attended the NKBA conference and recently finished the Design and Layout Kitchen class from NKBA. Previously, Alexa was the Construction Manager on a member of her own family’s home. Alexa works closely with both the field and the client to ensure that the client’s dream home becomes a reality.

Matthew Selts
Senior Project Manager, has been a member of the Plum team for over a decade. Matt has 25 years in the building business working specifically with wood as a carpenter. Matt's professed strengths are his patience and problem-solving skills in all aspects of carpentry. Most recently, Matt completed classes on the green initiative including Energy Star products and "How to Build More Efficient Homes"

Cesar Navarro
Project Manager, Has been a member of the Plum team for nearly a decade. Cesar believes that the details make the house and he is very detail-oriented. Painting and finish carpentry are his strengths. His easy-going manner, quiet competence and special aptitude for numbers makes him a standout. Cesar's relentless focus to detail makes him a favorite with all the clients.

Dave H. Sherwood
AIA, has been a member of the Plum team for 6 years. Dave started his own company in 1994 in Sag Harbor. Well known for attention to detail, his firm specializes in the Hampton’s vernacular “Shingle Style” and other traditional building types. He works closely with clients to assure that their design needs are met with style and elegance. Dave is involved in every aspect of every job, from the schematic design to the finishing touches.
