Design Build is about assembling a group of independent organizations with divergent goals and objectives, and molding them into a cohesive team that functions as a unit to serve the uniquely personal needs of each client.

Successful projects are managed to their intended purpose.  They are planned and executed well when strategic and tactical planning develops a project team with the necessary skill sets that works well together and is motivated to pursue the same goals.  Understanding the unique approach of general contractors, architects and interior designers in their professional role helps all the project participants bring a project in within the budget and schedule. There are many ways of putting a project together but the approach must mesh together to maximize the strengths of each discipline and protect against shortcomings.

Design Build as practiced by Plum Builders uses a two step approach to complete each successful project. First step is the formulation of scope and design criteria leading to concept design drawings reviewed and coordinated by all three disciplines.  The construction drawings again are reviewed by all three disciplines and value engineered by the General Contractor to insure best construction products at the best price. Phase two is the construction of the project on time and on budget using a fixed price agreement.
